We discuss what makes life and faith difficult, sharing ideas and experiences, and exploring whether/how Christianity and the church can relate to these challenges. The group is informal with no fixed agenda, although topics are usually suggested by group members in advance. By way of example, possible topics for discussion include why a God would allow suffering or practical discussions of how to live a “spiritual” life. There are no right or wrong answers, but a shared journey in which members help one another to grow spiritually and emotionally.

The group is mainly aimed at those new to Foundation or indeed to church/Christianity altogether. It aims to be a welcoming group for interested friends and family. We are thinking about the question “Who is JC?”, and how our understanding of this can shape our everyday lives. There are opportunities to explore the relevance of the Bible to these questions, for those wishing to understand it further. Membership over a period might lead people on to one of the other groups as they continue their journey.

By definition, this group is not limited toFoundationers, so if you know anyone who may be interested, please ask them to get in touch.

This group is not currently meeting, but if you are interested, please do get in touch with Laura through Rob by using the email address in the “contact” tab at the top of the page.
